For 13 years Ralph and I have run the Pelican Playhouse in Miami Springs. Throughout that time, there have been many good-byes. We think back fondly on the people who participated in the Playhouse and then “outgrew” us…going off to college and lives of their own in other cities. We think of the ones whose lives got so busy they no longer were able to make time to participate. And with each thought, we are thankful for the time we did get to spend with them. And as sad as a good-bye is, there is always a hello right around the corner. We welcome new members to the Playhouse and enjoy watching them grow. With The Trials of Robin Hood, we have more actors in the cast than ever before. So many new faces, mixed in with the old. Men, women and children. What a privilege to lead such an experience. So, as I look through the Playhouse photo albums, I remember fondly the ones who are no longer a part of the group and look forward in anticipation to the new ones to come. Good-Bye….Hello. (Thanks to Bill White of Christ Journey Church for his inspiration in this message.)
