Sam Chesser has been named artistic director of the Pelican Playhouse, succeeding Ralph Wakefield, who is retiring at the end of 2023, after 24 seasons leading the organization.
Sam has the rare combination of artistic ability and business skills to run a theater and lead the Pelicans to the future. He has been with the Pelicans since 2010 and has directed in the past, including Peter Pan, the British Musical and The Hobbit. Learn more about Sam on our About Us page.
